Iceland is a middle class island country located in the far north of the Atlantic Ocean, it is characterized by a generally cold climate and a very low population density. The country has a port that connects it with the closest European countries to the island in addition to having an airport that links Iceland mainly with Western Europe and North America.

Additionally, it is the second country in the game with the smallest population, surpassed only by Greenland.

IG Factbook: "Settled by Norwegian and Celtic (Scottish and Irish) immigrants during the late 9th and 10th centuries A.D., Iceland boasts the world's oldest functioning legislative assembly, the Althing, established in 930. Independent for over 300 years, Iceland was subsequently ruled by Norway and Denmark. Fallout from the Askja volcano of 1875 devastated the Icelandic economy and caused widespread famine. Over the next quarter century, 20% of the island's population emigrated, mostly to Canada and the US. Denmark granted limited home rule in 1874 and complete independence in 1944. The second half of the 20th century saw substantial economic growth driven primarily by the fishing industry. The economy diversified greatly after the country joined the European Economic Area in 1994, but Iceland was especially hard hit by the global financial crisis in the years following 2008. Literacy, longevity, and social cohesion are first rate by world standards."

• Iceland, along with other countries in the far north of the world, is one of the places where DrillZero, a fictitious company that appears at the moment of beating Frozen Virus in Cure Mode. can start mining the Permafrost layer.
• In the Ice Age scenario, Iceland's population density, which determines how close people are to becoming infected with the disease, is significantly reduced from 0.75 to 0.5, making it one of the most difficult countries to infect in this scenario.
• The helicopter seen on the Iceland's City Cam during General Disruption and Widespread Disorder is a CH-46 Sea Knight used by the United States Navy. The original photo was taken during 2011 in the Arabian-Persian Gulf.
