Countries

From Plague Inc. Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

Countries are parts of the world in Plague Inc. and Plague Inc: Evolved, sometimes spanning multiple real-life countries. Each country has varying population size and density, social and natural environments, and wealth. Countries with higher population density are easier to infect, while wealthier countries will greatly slow weaker infections down with modern drugs and generally tend to contribute more to cure research. All countries will try to counteract infection and death rates by trying their best to counter any known methods of the plague spreading. This can vary between exterminating insects when the plague is known to be transmitted through them to executing the sick, bombing infected locations, and even dropping nuclear weapons on another country.

Each country has a description of its history in Plague Inc: Evolved which is called an "IG Factbook Text."

Countries, in addition, have some other slightly more hidden traits, including cure research funding budgets separate from country wealth/population, population density, global importance factor (how much the world cares if the country gets infected or people die in that country), among others.
