Paralysis is a symptom that can be found in Standard plagues as well as the Black Death scenario. It causes pathogens to destroy motor neurons to cause paralysis. It makes the plague much harder to cure (+10%), and it is sometimes lethal.

Achievements

• In order to earn the Achievements Russian Nuclear Retaliation and Chinese Nuclear Retaliation, it is required that this symptom is evolved in order for President Spalin (a play on former Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin) to drop nuclear bombs on Russia and China, respectively.
