My analysis of all the plagues

This is the list of all the plagues (not counting the ones in Scenarios) and my analysis of their playstyles.

Plague Description
Bacteria As the all-around "balanced" pathogen, the Bacteria is the most versatile out of the Standard Plagues, capable of being used quite effectively in all of the three strategy types: speed (infecting and killing everybody off as fast as possible and not caring much about whether you get detected early), stealth (trying to have as low Severity as possible while silently infecting people), and durability (being detected but able to fend off the cure while gradually killing off the population).
Virus Stealth? Durability? Scratch those thoughts. For this pathogen, you must abandon all thought process about staving off cures or hiding from the government. The virus can do none of that. For the Virus, you have to be fast. This can be hard at first for Plague Inc. people who are used to the "stealth" concept. But with the right genes and the right mindset, the Virus can be an extremely potent weapon of mass destruction.
Fungus As any Plague Inc. newcomer would agree, I absolutely hate this pathogen. For one, even if the entirety of Saudi Arabia is infected with one, it takes FOREVER to transmit by plane or ship even with EXTREME BIOAEROSOL and Aerocyte/Aquacyte. Although the Spore Bursts can infect a country immediately, it is RANDOM. Therefore, beating this plague is extremely frustrating if you don't have Patho-Stasis and Metabolic Jump. The only advantage is if somehow you infect enough countries so that the islands are the only ones left uninfected, you can get some lethality early on use Spore Bursts to evade closed ports.

Nano-Virus The pinnacle of racing against the clock. Stealth with this thing is impossible because people are working on the cure from the start. That's the point; the Nano-Virus is meant to be the Fastest Plague Alive, so you must act just like that. Who cares if you have too much Severity for comfort? They're working on the cure anyway, so why bother trying to hide?

But this plague is also my favorite Standard Plague because of how infective it is. The Nano-Virus' starting infectivity is significantly greater than the others. This means that you can rapidly spread across the planet before they cure you. Not only that, but its unique abilities hurt the cure more effectively than any Genetic ReShuffle, and the following symptoms are free when you start the game with the Sympto-Stasis gene: Insomnia, Paranoia, Paralysis, and Coma, saving up DNA points for that much-needed Total Organ Failure. However, don't get overboard and get lethality too early on, because if Greenland is healthy and closes their ports then you're still gonna lose.
