Teracyte is a gene available for the standard plagues , in addition to the Neurax Worm, Necroa Virus, Simian Flu and Shadow Plague. This gene allows the disease to spread better across country borders.

Recommendations

• This gene is useful for infecting areas with multiple countries in close proximity to one another, such as Asia or Africa.
• Teracyte is useful at the moment of beating the game as Fungus because this disease mainly spreads between countries by land, and it is difficult for this pathogen to spread by boats and airplanes, island countries can be infected through the use of the spore abilities. For this reason, the player should focus on transmission between land borders.
• It is generally advisable to use this gene in most scenarios, but for the Xenophobia and Shut Down Everything scenarios it is generally advisable to use the Suppression gene, since most of the time the land borders will be more closed than open.
