The Ape Escape is an event that occurs in the Simian Flu DLC once the ability Simian Neuro-genesis is evolved. The achievement Great EscApe is earned for causing this event.
Once Simian Neuro-genesis is evolved, apes will break out of their primate shelter in a Gen-Sys, and cause citywide mayhem during their escape. The Ape Escape occurs in the player's starting country.
