Simian Neuro-genesis is a tier 1 ability in the Simian Flu DLC.

Effects

When evolved, the first intelligent apes will appear in the plague's origin country, destroying the Gen-Sys lab present there in the process. It does not inherently increase severity, though the intelligent apes will later on.

This ability will remove a percentage of the cure if there is any cure effort, due to destroying the lab.

It also unlocks many new transmission types and most importantly, special abilities. This allows the apes to create a huge difference against the humanity.

Trivia

• It is similar to Cytopathic Reanimation in the Necroa Virus DLC in that both are the defining feature of their respective diseases. Cytopathic Reanimation makes zombies while this makes intelligent apes.
  • Unlike Cytopathic Reanimation, Simian Neuro-genesis can be devolved.
• It is relevant for several achievements:
  • Great EscApe (When the lab is destroyed)
  • Did I mean to do that? (Devolve this trait)
  • Shouldn't Keep Pets (Make every ape intelligent, then allow them to die off)
