General Information
- 1st Stage: Pathogen uses pigs as prime host for antigenic shift - exchanging genes with multiple strains of influenza
- 2nd Stage: Pigs more susceptible to infection by pathogen crossing species barrier. Increases infectivity, particularly in rural areas

Swine is one of the basic zoonotic transmissions present in the official Swine Flu scenario, which consists of pigs becoming hotspots of infection, notably making the plague more able to spread in rural areas in addition to increasing mutation.
Unlike its Nipah Virus counterpart, this variant has only two evolutions, the latter being that the pathogen is able to cross the species barrier in order to infect the pig population.
This variant of Swine has a unique feature where the rate of symptom mutation is partially reduced during the first stage of evolution.[1]
