First progress report about the Plague Inc. wiki published on Wiki.gg ✨
We are going to focus on organizing and maintaining a good layout for the articles where everything is well referenced.
Extensions
- TemplateStyles (Extension used to further customize templates)
- Visual Editor (Extension that provides editors with an alternative to the Code Editor) (Note: The Visual Editor is a bit buggy on mobile, so use the Code Editor in case you usually edit on these devices)
- Multimedia Viewer (Extension used to provide more information about the images for the readers
Note: At the moment these are the extensions we have on the Plague Inc. wiki, we are considering adding more but first we will try with simple things and then more complex ones.
Separating long articles
- New Articles: Responses - Operations - Special Operations - Frozen Virus (from the Cure Mode Main Article)
Merging short articles
- Transmissions Articles: Swine (Nipah Virus + Swine Flu) - Droplets (Shadow Plague + Smallpox) - Wolf - Bird (+ Adding 1 Reference about Fungus) - Saliva - Amoeba (+ Adding 1 Reference) - Inter-genus dissemination - Water (+ Fixing icons)
- Abilities Articles: Drug Resistance - Viral Instability - Deactivate Modified Genes - Bacterial Resilience - Heat Resistance
- Symptoms Articles: Hemorrhagic Shock (+ Adding more stats + Emerging Shadow Plague article to the main symptom article)
Grammar/Redaction
- Rewriting the introductory paragraph of Bolivia article.
- Rewriting the article lead of some scenarios: Ice Age (+ Adding two references) - Pirate Plague - Sovereign Default
- Adding more detailed description for Neurax Worm traits: Transmissions - Symptoms - Abilities
Organization
Templates
- By feedback from TheSuperDragon, we moved all the information from TemplateData (in other words, the instructions for making Infoboxes, Scroll boxes, Image Switchers, etc.), to documentation pages.
- List of templates where a specialised page has been created for their documentation (Note: Some are missing but all the main ones have been created)
- This is done for the reason that it is easier to modify the templates because the information is well distributed over several pages.
- Main Category
Tabbers
- We will try to remove pages that use the "Tabber" tag, in other words that the content is separated by tabs, because these have not been fully configured and some pages look better using the traditional Wiki layout.
- Pages: People - Developers (+ Removing outdated Infoboxes)
Images
- Organizing the icon images to make it easier for users to find them.
Misc
Templates
- Page Tabber (Template designed to be used for navigation when linking pages of the same plague, either standard or special)
- Climate Variations (Template for storing information about the climate of countries in the Global Warming and Ice Age scenarios)
- Alternative Title (Template designed to give the article page a different title without changing the page URL)
