The Olympics mystery is a news event in Plague Inc. It eventually leads to Olympics back on!. If the host country has not been infected yet, or even if it has, there will be another news popup, <plague name> infects <country>!. Drug Resistance I must be acquired for this to work. The achievement Olympic Spoiler may be acquired for infecting the host country in this way.

Effects

When the plague evolves Drug Resistance, this will cause the Olympics Games to be a major source of contagion, this event will cause the number of infected to increase drastically in just one day (Around 143 people will become infected on that day), in addition to the rate of contagion in the country, It will also increase (+0.4 Infectivity only in that country).

Trivia

• After Rio 2016, this event was modified for the Brazilian Olympics, using the "biohazard" olympic logo. It now infects Brazil when the event Is carried out correctly, regardless whether or not the country is already infected by plane, boat or land border.
