Masticatory Tension
Masticatory Tension is a symptom exclusive to the Necroa Virus and Shadow Plague special plagues. It causes infected muscle cells to become engorged.
Variants
Necroa Virus
The Necroa Virus variant allows zombies to bite through thick clothing, and also increases the severity of zombies. This variant only increases the severity of the disease.
Shadow Plague
In the case of Shadow Plague, this symptom considerably increases the infectivity as well as the severity of the disease, because this trait increases the possibility of the infected to bite healthy people. This symptom along with Muscular Hypotrophy makes the Shadow Slaves noticeably stronger, specifically Masticatory Tension makes the infection process much more efficient for them at the moment of attacking healthy people while the latter makes their fighting strength much more brutal.[1]
Additionally, this symptom along with other traits that affect the jaw and musculature are necessary to obtain the Carpe Jugulum combo.
