Drifting Fermentation is a special ability in the Necroa Virus. It causes controlled decomposition to occur that makes zombies able to float on water, making them more able to infect new countries, especially island countries that may have attempted to shut out your disease. This can be considered the Necroa Virus counterpart of Seafaring from the Simian Flu DLC.

, but due to several factors such as Genetic Drift in addition to the fact that it is one of the traits of Necroa Virus that is necessary to evolve previous abilities in order to obtain it, the cost of DNA points will increase relatively as other traits are evolved.[1] - ↑ The variable that determines this is called
