Tumours are a tier 3 symptom. They occur when pathogens induces uncontrolled cell growth, causing malignant neoplasms (cancer) and tumours. This can be fatal.
In the case that the disease acquires this trait or Skin Lesions, the Swine Flu symptom combo will become inaccessible to the player.[1]
Trivia
- Tumours is the only symptom in standard plagues where it doesn't give any severity.
- Along with Fever, Inflammation, and Diarrhoea, Tumours are one of the four symptoms which can be better understood by scientists during a game. Having Tumours evolved when this happens makes your plague easier to cure. Evolving any of the four symptoms will make your plague easier to cure.
