Vaughan took heavy inspiration from Pandemic 2 to make his game, which he created with a budget of under five thousand dollars.

Mario Hros

Mario Hros (born 1989 in Třinec, Czechia), is a Czech developer who works at the independent game studio Ndemic Creations. He programmed the mobile game Plague Inc., and there is a line in the credits that says "Mario Hros : Powerful Programming"

He also programmed the game Painkiller: Resurrection, which was developed by the company Homegrown Games.

Hros founded, now inactive, the game studio Reversity Studios with his friends.

Sofiya Merkulova

Sofiya Merkulova is a game developer who works at the independent game studio Ndemic Creations, and designed the graphics of Plague Inc.. This is known because there is a line in the credits that says "Sofiya Merkulova : Gorgeous Graphics"

Joshua Kaplan

Joshua Kaplan, also known as OpenHeartSound, is an composer best known for his work on the game Plague Inc. This is known because if you see the credits, it has a line that says "Joshua Kaplan & Marius Malasar : Sublime Sound".
